HOW WE HELP        <\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Children in Andean Communities<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Sherlie Scribner went to Peru in 2019 and met with community leaders who wanted to help the families in some of the poorest areas of the Andes in central Peru. Poverty, malnutrition, anemia, and domestic violence are chronic problems in many of these areas. We are working with local leaders to provide families with a small monthly allowance to purchase food, household supplies, and personal products. They provide training on nutrition, family planning, hygiene, organizing their living space, personal improvement, and entrepreneurship.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chande School & Orphanage in Zambia<\/strong>         <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Orphanage and education center in the heart of Zambia providing shelter, care, medicine, food and education to the surrounding community.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n

We provided orphans at the Chande Project in Kitwe, Zambia new bedding, new beds, cabinets for their clothes, and bags with supplies to stay safe during the pandemic. <\/p>\n\n\n

The children at Chande learn gardening skills, so they can help grow some of their own food. We provided seeds, gardening supplies, and water hoses. <\/p>\n\n\n

The children wanted to play soccer. They usually wear rubber sandals which made it impossible for them to run around. They were so excited to get the shoes and socks, balls and goals. <\/p>\n\n\n

Happy Birthday party for one of the orphans at Chande. He got new clothes, toys, and a birthday cake. Celebrations help to bring smiles to their faces.<\/p>\n\n\n
